Home Euthanasia

At Harvest Pointe Animal Hospital, we understand how emotional end-of-life decisions can be for pet owners. Our compassionate team is here to provide guidance, comfort, and peaceful in-home euthanasia services for cats, rabbits, and exotic pets in a familiar and stress-free environment.

Saying goodbye to our beloved companions is one of the most difficult things we do as pet owners. We know these decisions are not made lightly and that they are made from a place of selfless love.

Our goal at Harvest Pointe Animal Hospital is to help guide and support you through this decision, making it as comfortable as possible for you and your companion.

In-Home Euthanasia Services

We realize that coming into the hospital for this last visit may add more anxiety for some pets and people. That’s why we also provide in-home euthanasia visits from a registered veterinary technologist for cat, rabbit, and exotic patients that have an established relationship with our veterinarians.

What to Expect During Your Appointment

Understanding what to expect can also help put your mind at ease. Prior to your appointment, we review your aftercare wishes and what to expect. On arrival, your technologist will also walk through the process with you before beginning.

Preparing for Your Pet’s Appointment

Prior to the appointment, you can consider:

Who would you like to be with you?

Are there other people in your pet’s life that want to say goodbye?

You Don’t Have to Make This Decision Alone

We know that euthanasia is a difficult and important decision to make, but you don’t have to do it alone. If you are unsure or just want to talk about it, you can schedule a quality-of-life consultation with our veterinarians. While this decision is unique for every pet and person, we can help answer questions and guide you through the decision.
